About the Role

- Cooking, baking, pastry preparation, or butchering
- Assisting with supervision of kitchen staff
- Adhering to food hygiene and safety standards

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with menu preparation and manage supplies
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
- Coordinate with front of house staff regarding menu items and updates
- Supervise kitchen operations in the absence of senior chefs
- Ensure high presentation standards for all dishes
- Manage food costs within specified margins
- Follow FIFO policy and maintain cleanliness and equipment standards
- Coordinate with stewarding team for cleanliness and equipment levels
- Communicate effectively with staff and report issues to senior chefs
- Support on-the-job training and development
- Perform additional duties as required

Skills & Experience

- Competency in cooking and supervisory skills at the level of Commis Chef
- High standards in food preparation, presentation, and service
- Current Food Safety training, refreshed annually
- Participation in training programs as required
