The Opportunity
We are working with a highly regarded Melbourne-based law firm with a strong Property & Development practice. They are seeking an experienced Law Clerk with 3-4+ years' experience to join their busy team. This is an excellent chance to step into a cooperative environment where you'll manage quality property matters on behalf of leading developers.
The Role
In this role, you will take ownership of property files from start to finish, with a focus on high-volume off-the-plan sales.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Running conveyancing files from instruction through to settlement
- Preparing contracts, vendor statements, transfers, Duties Online forms, and settlement statements
- Coordinating and attending to PEXA settlements
- Preparing and lodging subdivision documentation
- Liaising directly with clients, surveyors, banks, the Titles Office, and other solicitors
- Managing file administration including opening/closing files, billing, and reporting
- Ensuring deadlines are met and matters are progressed efficiently
About You
To succeed in this position, you will have:
- 3-4+ years/' experience as a Law Clerk or Conveyancing Clerk (essential)
- Strong knowledge of PEXA and conveyancing procedures
- Previous experience in off-the-plan developer matters (highly regarded)
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- A confident and professional communication style with clients and stakeholders
