As a Systems Analyst you will be part of a close‑knit team responsible for the analysis and development of applications that optimise the planning of flight and cabin crew schedules and rosters across the Qantas Group.

You’ll be working with a domain‑specific language (RAVE) and Python to solve complex problems in planning and scheduling. Collaborating with internal and external partners, you will work to find optimal solutions that encompass employee agreements, compliance rules and business improvement initiatives.

You’ll have:

- 3+ years of experience in a software development role

- Expertise in Python scripting or other programming languages (e.g. Java, C++, C# etc.)

- Relevant degree in Software development, IT, Computer Science or Mathematical or a related discipline

- Knowledge of industry standards for object‑oriented programming

- Experience in CI/CD processes, Git, Github, Github Actions.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deliver clear, actionable recommendations by translating complex business needs into effective technical solutions

- Effective and succinct oral and written communication and business writing skills

- Proven ability to work independently and be self‑motivated

- Experience in Jeppesen RAVE, Manpower Planning, Pairing and Rostering (desirable)
