What Is The Role?

As Novaskill’s Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health of the organisation. This leadership position will oversee the finance and payroll functions, provide strategic advice, ensure regulatory compliance, and support business growth through effective financial planning and analysis.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded finance professional looking to lead a small team, drive continuous improvement in financial systems, and contribute to organisational success.

Responsibilities Include:

- Lead the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial operations
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and debt collection functions
- Manage end-of-month and end-of-year reconciliations and reporting
- Assist with the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis
- Ensure compliance with ATO, ASIC, and other regulatory bodies
- Work closely with senior leadership to support strategic decision-making
- Implement process improvements and internal controls

About You:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and payroll requirements
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and analytical capability
- Experience with financial systems and reporting tools
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
