Position Overview:
Chuckem Pastoral Trust is seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to support its grain cartage and farm logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting grain, fertiliser, and agricultural supplies between paddocks, silos, and local receival depots, particularly during seeding and harvest periods. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors in a practical agricultural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain heavy rigid and articulated trucks, including grain tippers and semi-trailers.
• Transport grain, fertiliser, and other farm inputs between paddocks, silos, and receival depots.
• Load and unload grain using augers, conveyors, and other equipment.
• Conduct pre-start checks, routine servicing, and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and all road transport safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate transport and delivery documentation.
• Assist with general farm work and machinery operations as required.
Skills and Experience:
• Current HC or MC Truck Licence (essential).
• Previous experience in agricultural or grain haulage (preferred).
• Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safe loading practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Flexibility to work extended hours during busy farming seasons.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and reliability.
