I'm supporting a world-leading technology business pushing the limits of microfabrication and advanced manufacturing. They’re looking for a Senior Process Engineer to lead process development, optimisation, and support for wafer, MEMS, and semiconductor manufacturing lines.

You’ll be at the centre of driving continuous improvement, industrialising new products, and introducing next-generation process technologies.

The Role

- Develop, optimise, and support advanced manufacturing processes.

- Sustain current production while leading process improvement initiatives.

- Support NPI and process transfer from R&D to production.

- Implement in-process controls to reduce variation and improve yield.

- Lead root cause analysis and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

- Validate and commission new manufacturing equipment.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Proven experience in process engineering within wafer, MEMS, or semiconductor manufacturing.

- Strong knowledge of cleanroom environments and microfabrication processes.

- Hands‑on experience with:

- Photolithography, dry/wet etching, wafer bonding

- MEMS fabrication (DRIE, micromachining, sacrificial layer removal)

- Semiconductor processes (PVD, CVD, sputtering, interconnect, assembly)

- Skilled in SPC, data analysis, and root cause methodologies (8D, FMEA).

- Degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant engineering or physical sciences discipline.

- Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Desirable

- Experience commissioning or qualifying new process equipment.

- Exposure to NPI environments or scaling processes from prototype to production.

- CAD experience for process fixtures or tooling design.

- Software skills in Python, MATLAB or similar for data analysis and automation.

- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods.

- Leadership or mentoring experience in a technical team.

- Knowledge of vacuum systems, micro‑assembly, or surface analysis.
