About our Client:
Our client is a dynamic and growing leader in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector, with deep roots in premium agricultural production on the Mornington Peninsula. They are dedicated to implementing innovative and sustainable farming practices to produce high-quality goods. Their approach integrates advanced agri-technology and precision water management to ensure optimal crop health and yield, reflecting a commitment to both excellence and environmental stewardship. About the Role:
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an energetic and experienced Irrigationist to take on a critical hands-on role in the management and operation of their sophisticated irrigation systems. System Operation & Precision Management:
• Analyse and determine critical hydraulic parameters, including pressure and flow rates, to ensure all irrigation systems are performing to their exact design specifications for optimal water delivery.

• Select, operate, and perform routine management of advanced pumping and filtration systems, ensuring a consistent and reliable water supply across the entire property.
Implementation, Supervision & Maintenance:
• Accurately interpret detailed irrigation designs and plans, applying them effectively to on-ground installation, system modifications, and operational adjustments.
• Supervise the installation of new irrigation infrastructure and lead a small team in performing proactive and reactive maintenance on existing systems, including drip lines, sprinklers, valves, and controllers.
• Take ownership of irrigation-related projects, coordinating tasks and resources to ensure upgrades and installations are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard.

• A successful completion of a relevant formal qualification, such as an AQF Certificate II (or equivalent) in Agriculture, Horticulture, or Irrigation.
• A minimum of one year of full-time (or equivalent 20+ hours per week) relevant post-qualification experience in a hands-on irrigation role, preferably within a horticultural or viticultural setting.
Essential Skills & Attributes:
• A proven hands-on commitment with a practical, can-do attitude and a dedication to seeing tasks through to completion with a high degree of accuracy.
• The ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a close-knit team, demonstrating strong communication skills and a willingness to support colleagues.
• A high degree of self-motivation and the capability to work autonomously without direct supervision, effectively managing your own schedule and responsibilities.
• A demonstrated ability to adapt to new challenges, display a wide range of practical skills, and proactively solve problems as they arise in a dynamic farm environment.
