Remuneration: $262,376 to $354,479 per annum full time equivalent depending on experience

What You’ll Be Doing

Provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes delivering a healthy community through quality care.

Provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

Where You’ll Be Working

Lismore Base Hospital is a regional referral, Level 5 base hospital providing a wide range of health services to residents in Northern NSW. These services include a state‑of‑the‑art Operating Theatre Suite, Intensive Care/Cardiac Care Unit, General Medical and Surgical Wards, Womens Care Unit, Paediatric Unit, Renal Unit, Emergency Department, Medical Imaging department and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. Mental Health Inpatient Units, the North Coast Cancer Institute, Pathology, Pain Management Clinic, and Specialist Outpatient Clinics are also located on the Lismore Base Hospital campus.

Lismore and other NNSWLHD Hospitals and facilities are located in the Rainbow Region, known for stunning waterfalls, fertile farming land, artistic villages and relaxed seaside communities.

Eligibility and Requirements

- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Anaesthetist, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.

- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Anaesthesia and ability to provide comprehensive anaesthesia services within all hospitals of the Network Surgical Services, including elective, emergency, acute pain and perioperative services and extensive regional anaesthesia.

- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and to provide leadership of a team.

- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.

- Availability to participate in an on‑call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
