What You Will Be Doing

Role: Pathology Collector (Phlebotomist)

You will be collecting blood and coordinating specimen samples from patients, using empathy and customer service to deliver high-quality healthcare.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention

- Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample

- Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times

- Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing

- Liaising with customers, clinic staff and couriers

What Type of Person Will Be Successful

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Pathology Collector, or have gained a Cert III and be embarking on a Pathology Collection career. You could also be a Registered Nurse seeking day shifts over weekends/overnight work. If you have no pathology experience but have a customer service focus and healthcare background, we can support you to grow with fully paid training and mentoring.

Attributes & Skills

- Experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or Certificate III in Pathology Collection, or a healthcare background

- Excellent customer service and communication skills with empathy

- Organised with strong time management and attention to detail

- Ability to work autonomously in a solo clinic

- Valid Driver's license with flexibility to travel to multiple clinics

- Working with Children’s Check or willingness to obtain one

- Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or valid visa with work rights

- Vaccination requirements: evidence of vaccines such as Hepatitis B may be required; location-based requirements may apply
