About the Position:
As a Cabinet Maker at Marble Benchtops Hub, you will play a pivotal role in bringing client visions to life by crafting and installing custom cabinetry that seamlessly integrates premium stone and wood elements into kitchens, bathrooms, and joinery projects. This position encompasses the full spectrum of fabrication—from interpreting designs and selecting materials to precise assembly and finishing—ensuring every piece meets the company's exacting standards for functionality and aesthetics. Your expertise will be essential in upholding our commitment to superior quality and customer satisfaction, directly contributing to the seamless end-to-end service that sets Marble Benchtops Hub apart in Sydney's premium renovation market.
Key Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting detailed technical drawings and plans.
Review blueprints, sketches, or design specifications to understand the project requirements.
Assist in developing and refining cabinet designs, considering functionality, style, and material selection.
Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing cabinetry and joinery with precision.
Calculate material quantities and prepare cutting lists for efficient production.
Select suitable lumber and materials for cabinet construction based on the design specifications.
Use hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, routers, and sanders, to shape and assemble cabinet components.
Ensure precision and accuracy in cutting, shaping, and joining wood pieces for seamless assembly.
Apply stains, varnishes, and other finishes to enhance the appearance and durability of the cabinets.
Install hardware components, such as hinges, handles, and drawer slides, with precision.
Inspect and correct any imperfections, ensuring the final product meets quality standards.
Coordinate with clients and project managers to schedule cabinet installation.
Transport and install finished cabinets on-site, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
Make adjustments as necessary to achieve a perfect fit and ensure customer satisfaction.
Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures while operating machinery and handling materials.
Maintain and clean tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Communicate effectively with team members, designers, and clients to understand project requirements and address any concerns.
Collaborate with other craftsmen, such as carpenters and woodworkers, in larger projects.
Requirements:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Minimum AQF Certificate III in Cabinet Making, Carpentry, or related field.
2-3 years of experience as a cabinet maker or related field.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings, precise measuring and cutting, and using hand/power tools like saws and routers.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or in a team.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with designers, clients, and tradespeople, along with a commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
