Looking for a meaningful rural role on Tasmania’s breathtaking west coast? Ochre Medical Centre Strahan is seeking a committed VR GP to join our small but vital healthcare team in this unique, close-knit community. Whether you’re considering a permanent move or prefer a fly-in/fly-out arrangement, we offer the flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

What We’re Offering:

- Permanent full time or part-time GP positions
- OR a rotating hybrid model: 3–4 GPs covering 1 week per month
- Earning potential $300K–$350K per year, % of billings
- Mixed billing with high billings per consult
- Well-established patient base from day one
- Assistance with accommodation and car
- Relocation, procedural, CPD, WIP, and retention grants available
- Eligible for rural relocation and retention grants
- DPA status and MMM6 location – significant reduction in moratorium

About the Practice:

Located in the heart of Strahan, Ochre Medical Centre is a solo-GP practice with excellent nursing and admin support. We provide a broad range of general practice services including:

- Chronic disease management
- Emergency care and stabilisation
- Mental health
- Family planning & vaccinations

You’ll be the cornerstone of care in this remote coastal town, with on-call responsibilities shared across a sustainable and supportive roster.

- Interest in rural health, community medicine, and adventure
