We arelooking for a dedicated and experienced Multiskilled Technician Mechanicalto join our Estates & Facilities team. This is a key role in ensuring thesafe and efficient operation of mechanical systems across the hospital site.You will work both independently and collaboratively to deliver planned andreactive maintenance, contributing to a high-quality environment for patients,staff, and visitors.

Main duties of the job

- Undertake mechanical maintenance tasks and minor repairs across the hospital estate.
- Respond to planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks in line with departmental service level agreements.
- Work flexibly across disciplines within the Estates Maintenance Team.
- Ensure compliance with national and local Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Participate in the on-call rota, with site attendance required within 40 minutes.
- Support small projects and contribute to the continuous improvement of Estates services.

Job responsibilities

Additional information

- This role may require working shifts, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. You will be expected to participate in the on-call rota and attend site within 40 minutes when required.

Qualifications

- GCSE level education or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good organisational skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work methodically and pay attention to detail
- Relevant qualification and/or time-served apprenticeship.
- Knowledge of decontamination processes.
- Understanding of Health & Safety practices and risk assessments.
