About the Role

The Business Development Manager is responsible for new business retention and growth for Wilson Parking SA, specifically through the acquisition of new profitable car parking sites and the renewal of existing sites.

The position also assumes responsibility for the support, preparation and coordination of quality, accurate proposals and tenders to optimize success rate whilst focusing on market trends, budget guidelines, and requirements of potential new clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

Business Development

- Drive growth by identifying and securing new car parking sites across SA.
- Strengthen retention through proactive renewal of existing sites.
- Build strong client, stakeholder, and industry relationships.
- Represent Wilson Parking with professionalism at external forums and networking events.
- Collaborate with the SA Operations team to ensure service delivery meets client expectations.

Proposals and Tenders

- Prepare polished, high-quality proposals and tender submissions.
- Lead client meetings to explore opportunities and set clear action plans.
- Deliver engaging presentations tailored to client needs.
- Analyse financial data to support accurate and competitive proposals.
- Work closely with Operations to ensure staffing and budgets are aligned.

Reporting

- Provide regular updates to senior management on pipeline activity, market trends, and competitor movements.
- Track leads, opportunities, and contracts through Salesforce.
- Monitor revenue outcomes against forecasts to ensure budget targets are achieved.

About You

- Proven experience at a management level, with exposure to commercial services, business strategy, planning, and/or business development.
- Industry background in property or parking (highly desirable, but not essential).
- Advanced proficiency across Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong track record in preparing and delivering professional proposals and tenders.
- Excellent numeracy skills with outstanding verbal and written communication.
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
- Strong networking ability with proven negotiating and closing skills.
- Experience in surveying and analysing competitor sites to inform business strategy.
- Solid marketing expertise with demonstrated results.
- Highly organised, with strong planning and implementation skills.
- Creative problem-solver with the ability to analyse situations and make sound decisions.
- In-depth knowledge of rostering, cost analysis, and resource management principles.
