Job Description

We are seeking a Solution Architect to partner with the Director, IT & Projects, guiding both business and IT teams through digital transformation, strategic planning and technology optimisation. The role ensures that technology decisions align with business goals, supporting growth, efficiency, risk reduction and long-term sustainability.

What you’ll do:

- Align business and IT strategy, building strong stakeholder relationships across a complex IT landscape.
- Shape future-state business and technology vision, supporting long-term planning and multiple delivery models (project and product)
- Document current vs. future architectures and identify capability gaps, risk and improvement opportunities.
- Translate business strategy into solution architecture roadmaps and guide execution across programs and teams.
- Provide consultative advice to leaders on investment decisions, operating models, and organisational readiness for change.
- Design technology-enabled business and operating models and support governance, standards and minimal viable architectures.
- Partner with IT, infrastructure and business teams to ensure architecture consistency and effective decision making (“freedom in a box”)
- Maintain alignment of architecture activities across initiatives and present gap analysis and IT investment roadmaps.

The successful applicant:

- 8+ years’ experience across multiple architecture or technical domains.
- Strong knowledge of digital ecosystems, cloud platforms (SaaS, laaS, PaaS), APIs, microservices, SOA, open data and analytics.
- Familiarity with architecture tools, modelling frameworks, SDLC, ITIL, Agile/ Lean and IT operations.
- Strong leadership, comm and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of solution architecture principles and emerging technologies.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking to influence leaders and push back diplomatically.
- High collaborative, consultative and business-focused.
- Experience in mid-sized organisations (100-500 employees)
- Background in automotive finance or financial services.
- Experience in global organisations with strict compliance.
- Familiarity with contract management systems (e.g.Sofico Miles, CALMS).
