Full‑Time Position
Geelong Lutheran College is seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding across the learning area and have experience teaching across Years 7‑12. This role requires a deep commitment to student‑centred learning, curriculum innovation, and assessment best practices. This is a full‑time position, commencing in Term 1, 2026.
The role:
- Teach English while fostering a classroom environment rooted in curiosity and critical thinking
- Deliver outstanding teaching and learning so that every student is challenged, makes progress and thrives in a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Commit to knowing students well, ensuring that learning is personalised so students can take their own next step in their learning progress
- Continuously seek‑out innovation, trying new teaching and learning strategies in the classroom and contribute to a culture of experimentation
- Skilfully integrate learning technology into practice, selecting the most appropriate tools to enhance the learning experience
What do I need to succeed?
- Teaching qualification
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching in English across a range of year levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for creativity and innovation in teaching
- A valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
