Trades Assistant page is loaded## Trades Assistantlocations: Australia | FNQ | Townsvilletime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: October 27, 2025 (26 days left to apply)job requisition id: JR116766**Company :**Hastings Deering (Australia) LtdWe have an exciting opportunity for a **Trades Assistant** to join our team in our **Townsville** business centre These are **permanent full-time positions** working **Monday to Friday**. **What you’ll be doing:*** **Support the team –** assist trades personnel with mechanical work while following strict safety procedures and contamination control standards.* **Deliver quality workmanship –** take every step to ensure tasks are completed correctly the first time, with no rework required.* **Follow repair standards –** carry out all repairs in line with appropriate control guidelines and company processes.* **Operate equipment –** gain hands-on experience using overhead gantry cranes and forklifts.* **Keep the workshop running –** contribute to general yard duties and wash bay tasks to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.* **Learn and grow –** work with state-of-the-art machinery and develop your skills alongside experienced technicians.Hastings Deering is proud to be one of the top 5 Caterpillar dealerships globally.
