The opportunity

The City of Mandurah Festivals and Events team is seeking atalented and experienced individual to fill a casual role of EventsSupport Officer. In this role, you will assist in the delivery ofmajor festivals, sport and recreation events within the City ofMandurah which build the capacity of local businesses, thecommunity and increase visitation to our City Centre.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Experience in major event management or similardiscipline

- Previous experience with large scale event delivery in anoutdoor public space

- Experience in inputting creative ideas into Cityevents

- Working knowledge and experience of administration andoperational implementation of major and complex events

- Previous experience in the planning and delivery of eventand entertainment programs and services, preferably with thecoordination of special events

- A flexible approach to working hours, as position requiressome weekend and after-hours work

- Commitment to learning and understanding local governmentprocedures and policies

- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
