Competitive Salary: Band 6 - $101,833 p.a -111,108.57 p.a (depending on experience)+ 12% superannuation
Location: Corporate Centre in Sandringham, with the flexibility to work from home as projects allow

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Project Services Department as a Project Manager in the Civil Projects team, reporting to the Team Leader. You'll manage capital projects end-to-end, supported by the wider team, and work across civil infrastructure including roads, drainage, traffic systems, landscaping, carpark upgrades and other related projects.

Responsibilities

- Delivering civil infrastructure capital projects, focusing on the full project lifecycle—Concept, Plan, Deliver, and Close—to ensure professional and timely execution

- Ensuring projects are delivered within organisation defined systems and processes while meeting time, quality and budget outcomes.

- Ensure works and services are procured and awarded in accordance with Council’s Procurement Policy and Guidelines at all times

- Perform contract management and administration duties in accordance with Councils systems and guidelines and oversee construction sites in a safe manner

Key Selection Criteria

1. Developing project scope documents, undertaking site assessments, preparing cost estimates and cashflow, preparing and maintaining project schedules and managing permit approvals to ensure a project is set up for successful delivery

2. Have the ability to effectively brief and manage consultants, contractors, community members, clients, and other project stakeholders throughout the life of the project in a professional and engaged manner from inception to handover

3. Confidence in performing Contract Management and Administration duties in accordance with Council's systems and governance guidelines

4. Possess experience in community and stakeholder management

5. Effectively communicate and respond to external and internal enquiries within area of expertise and knowledge

Mandatory pre-employment requirements

- Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check

- Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check

- Current Drivers Licence
