Job Description

About the Role:

MPK is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our local maintenance team. Reporting into the Infrastructure Plant Team, the ideal candidate for this position will be highly motivated, with significant experience working with earthmoving equipment, heavy vehicles, light vehicles and fixed plant applications.They will be eager to work a Monday to Friday roster, with the opportunity to work occasional weekends and support the Team on site when required.

You will carry out a number of tasks on our fleet of equipment, which consists of Earthmoving Equipment (Excavators, Graders, Loaders & Ag Tractors), Trucks (Japanese, American & European makes), Trailers (including Low Loaders, Flat Top, Custom built & LV) and Speciality Equipment (Trenchers, Poly Welding Equipment & Support Equipment).

Day to day tasks will involve:

- Wiring repairs to new install and fit outs

- IVMS installs and testing

- Electrical diagnostics

- General repairs and maintenance

- Travel to worksites if and when needed

Desired Skills and Experience

About You:

- Oil and gas industry experience (preferred)

- Relevant Auto Electrician trade qualification (Heavy Vehicle Applications)

- Previous experience in automotive air-conditioning

- "Can Do" attitude and able to work unsupervised

- Attention to detail and a high level of pride in your work quality is essential

- HR licence (valuable)
