Job Title: General Practitioner - Killarney, Queensland

Job Type: Permanent – Full time, although open to candidates who are seeking a minimum of 0.4 FTE part-time opportunities.

Practice Information:
This organisation is community-owned and not-for-profit, devoted to innovative healthcare solutions in a small town of 900 people. They have expanded from being ‘the local aged care’ to providing a medical centre, home care service, disability support, operation of Killarney swimming pool, and other community-based wellness services. They ensure that locals do not need to go out of town to access quality wellness and health services. They have just commenced a four-year Innovative Model of Care program funded by the Federal Government to find the gaps in health services, plug them, and provide holistic and preventative care for each individual in their community.

The opportunity:
They now have a rewarding opportunity for General Practitioners who are passionate about providing high-quality medical services to a diverse rural community. This is an incredible opportunity to join a multidisciplinary and passionate team delivering holistic primary care services ideally on a full-time basis. You will be presented with a variety of patient challenges daily while practicing greater autonomy and responsibility. Excellent support from the experienced practice team allows you more time to spend on patient care.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Vocationally registered
- AHPRA registered General Practitioner
- Passionate about public health and caring for those in our community

Salary Information:
Base rate and a percentage of takings - negotiable (based on experience and qualifications). Can negotiate alternatives to a full salaried position.

- Relocation assistance of up to $5,000
- NFP salary packaging options - increase your take-home pay by up to $30,000 p.a. (pro-rata)
- 5 weeks’ annual leave
- 1 week of professional development leave per year
- Short-term, fully furnished accommodation
- Significant flexibility including no weekend work & option of no on-call

About Killarney:
Killarney is a country town surrounded by rolling foothills, mountain vistas, national parks, and waterfalls. The town has everything you need including a school, daycare, medical centre, supermarket, hardware, cafe, heritage pub, local pool, parks, art galleries, and a heritage museum. There is a strong sense of community in the town with a myriad of community groups to suit almost anyone’s interests. If you are looking for a larger country town vibe, we are only a 25-minute drive from Warwick with its commercial centre and state and private schools. Brisbane is just over two hours away and Gold Coast is around two and a half hours away.
