About the role
The Case Support Worker walks alongside clients and carers, offering culturally grounded support through transport, appointments, and participation in healing, learning, and cultural activities outlined in the Case Plan. This role is guided by a commitment to nurture Aboriginal children in foster care. Strengthening health, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, identity, family connections, and life skills. The Case Support Worker works in partnership with the Foster Care Case Manager and Team Leader to ensure care that honours culture and community.
About You
As a Case Support Worker, you’ll walk alongside clients and carers, providing practical and culturally grounded support that strengthens wellbeing, identity, and connection. Your work will include transport, attend appointments, and engage in healing, learning, and cultural activities outlined in Case Plans.
You’ll collaborate closely with Case Managers and Team Leaders, maintain accurate records, and uphold VACCA’s values of culture, community, and Aboriginal self‑determination. This role is about more than tasks. It’s about creating a safe, inclusive space where children and families can thrive.
Requirements
- Flexibility to work casual hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Willingness to enrol or complete relevant community services studies
- Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence. Current COVID‑19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended)
