What you'll be doing
As an Orderly/Wardsperson, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patient care and hospital operations through safe and timely transport and assistance.
- Transport patients via bed, trolley, or wheelchair across hospital departments
- Assist with patient mobility tasks including transfers and positioning
- Safely handle and transport equipment, specimens, and documentation
- Support mortuary operations with dignity and professionalism
- Deliver excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors

- Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills with patients, visitors, staff and managers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Infection control principles
- Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and physically challenging position/workload.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to use electronic devices as part of the Orderly Department’s tasking system
- Ability to complete tasks either in a team environment or unsupervised all within a measurable timeframe
