This role is based out of our Hobart office, based in Tasmania, Australia.**Benefits*** Market leading remuneration* Salary packaging; $15,900 annually for living expenses, plus up to $2,650 each year for entertainment benefits.* Flexible hybrid work arrangements in a friendly workplace with an emphasis on work life balance* Additional training & career development opportunities* Leave benefits – purchased additional annual leave* Reward and Recognition Program* Fitness Passports: Full facility access can include gyms, group classes and pools for yourself and your family.* Free independent and confidential counselling sessions and free wellbeing resources and webinars available through our Employee Assistance Program in multiple languages.* Exclusive discounts at MyCar; Servicing, Brakes, Repairs, and Tyre Care Plans* Exclusive commercial discounts for JB HI-FI and The Good Guys**Responsibilities**The Dementia Support Coach will facilitate on the ground support, implementation of relationship-based support strategies, modelling and coaching with clients, carers and care staff.* Work collaboratively with peers to develop the skills, expertise and/or applied knowledge of aged care staff and carers to understand the person living with dementia and develop best practice support and care.* Support the implementation of the recommendation plans on the ground, drawing on modelling and coaching techniques, and seek guidance from Team Leader, Dementia Consultant and Senior Consultant as required.* Facilitate and support the trial and implementation of brokerage items with clients and their carers, and seek guidance from Team Leader, Dementia Consultant and Senior Consultant as required.* Strong organisational abilities, including effective time management and ability to prioritise in a busy work environment and competing demands.* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.* Demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service principles including conflict resolution to ensure the consistent provision of exceptional service to internal and external customers* A current driver’s licence and safe driving record* Willingness to travel and work intrastate and interstate to support the delivery of DC services* Qualification in relevant field; Allied Health assistant, Diversional Therapy, Enrolled Nursing (EN), Aged Care, Cert III or IV in Individual Support / Leisure and Health or similar highly desirable*All short-listed applicants will be asked to consent to a criminal record check.**For more info on DSA, check out our website:*At Dementia Support Australia, we are dedicated to improving the lives of people living with dementia and their families.
