About the position:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Trading Analyst to join our successful Trading team based in Sydney. This role will add technical capability to the Trading team in maintaining, uplifting and deriving technical solutions and documentation in cooperation with the Development team. They will also provide support to the Trading Team in compliance, reporting and market analysis. At times of staff shortages, the Analyst will assist with core tasks surrounding the Trading function.

- Market Analysis & Modelling (30%)

- IT Systems & Projects Support (30%)

- Systems & Processes Documentation (30%)

- Administrative & Operational Support (10%)

This position is based in Sydney.

About you:

This position is ideally suited to proactive individuals with strong quantitative and analytical skills, but we are also looking for someone with excellent organisational and documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively.

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Maths, Economics, Computer Science or Engineering, with 0-3 years of working experience.

- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in SQL/Power BI/VBA/Python.

- Excellent organisational and documentation skills, with strong attention to detail.

- Self motivated.

- Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively.

- Prior experience within the NEM and/or market modelling software such as Prophet, Plexos or PowerWorld would be beneficial.

- Understanding of IT development processes and basic coding skills are preferred.
