The Fibreglass Technician is responsible for the preparation, production, and finishing
of fibreglass components used across Motorhaus Garage’s vehicle platforms and
aftermarket body kits.
This role focuses on the hands-on execution of lamination, trimming, assembly, and
surface finishing tasks to ensure consistent quality, precision, and durability in all
manufactured components.
Working under the guidance of the Senior Fibreglass Technician, this position
contributes directly to MHG’s mission of setting global standards in craftsmanship and
automotive innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production & Fabrication
• Assist in the preparation of moulds, surface coating, and resin lay-up for fibreglass parts.
• Mix and apply resins, gelcoats, and catalysts to precise specifications.
• Perform trimming, sanding, and polishing to achieve smooth and defect-free surfaces.
• Support the assembly and repair of fibreglass panels, kits, and prototype models.
• Operate hand tools, air tools, and cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain work quality to meet or exceed MHG’s production standards.

Teamwork & Communication
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet project timelines and quality goals.
• Take direction from the Senior Fibreglass Technician and Operations Manager.
• Communicate progress, issues, and material needs clearly and promptly.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and professional workplace culture.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in fibreglass or composite manufacturing.
• Knowledge of basic hand lay-up and finishing techniques.
• Ability to use small power tools, sanders, and air grinders safely.
• Reliable work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness in the workspace.
• Willingness to learn advanced techniques under supervision.

Desirable
• Experience in automotive or marine fibreglass production.
• Basic understanding of vacuum bagging or spray-up systems.
• Experience using industrial extraction systems and temperature-controlled curing.
• Forklift licence or other site-based safety training (advantageous).
• Experience working in a high-quality, small-team production environment
