The Opportunity
MinRes Air is seeking a driven and detail-focused Operations& Crew Controller to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the heart of our operations — ensuring aircraft and crew are allocated effectively, flights run on schedule, and every movement complies with safety and regulatory standards. As the primary operational contact during shift, you will oversee daily flight activity, anticipate and resolve disruptions. Additionally, you will construct and maintain compliant crew rosters, and drive operational excellence across all touchpoints.
- Coordinate aircraft and crew allocations to maintain schedule integrity
- Flight follow - supervise all aircraft movements and ensure on-time performance
- Apply for, monitor, and manage aircraft slots
- Collaborate with engineering to align maintenance with operational needs
- Monitor crew compliance, sign-on/off, and activate standby coverage
- Manage delays and disruptions to minimise service impact
- Communicate with aircraft via VHF/ACARS
- Liaise with airports, terminals, catering, freight, and engineering
- Construct and publish compliant Flight & Cabin crew rosters
- Manage Flight & Cabin crew annual leave, training schedules and ADHOC changes
- Support cyclone demobilisationand emergency response protocols
- Ensure all operational decisions meet CASA and MinRes safety standards
What You'll Bring
- Experience working in Airline Operations
- Working knowledge CAO 48.1 appendix 2
- Proficient in planning and managing crew rosters and training requirements
- Skilled in emergency response coordination
- Recent experience with crew rostering software platforms e.g Geneva or LEON (desirable)
- Strong understanding of CASA regulations (desirable)
- Familiarity with ACARS, VHF communication, and delay handling systems (desirable)
- Excellent problem-solving and time-critical decision-making skills
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to lead with integrity and resilience under pressure
About MinRes Air
MinRes Air is the newly formed internal flights department providing air charter services from a dedicated MinRes Perth Terminal directly to our site operations, to support our Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) Operations.
Dedicated aircraft fleet, terminals, ground handling and maintenance capabilities of which are controlled by MinRes Air and managed by MinRes to provide a complete end to end process.
