About the role

You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining core backend components of our application stacks, with a strong emphasis on automation, integration, and API development.

We build scalable digital products and experiences for our client partners. Our work incorporates setting up greenfield cloud environments and integrating with existing platforms and environments. Our clients include multinational businesses, federal and state governments, as well as not-for-profit organisations of all sizes.

You’ll work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary project teams to ensure high-quality, efficient, and scalable solutions.

Your focus:

- Contributing to the design and implementation of backend systems
- Developing and maintaining APIs, middleware, and integration solutions
- Implementing DevSecOps practices and automation workflows
- Working on systems development and integration projects (CMS, CRM, databases)
- Assisting in the continuous improvement of our development processes and services
- Participating in our various team initiatives through regular meetings and working groups

You will demonstrate:

- Experience in backend development, with a focus on API and middleware development
- Extensive experience in deploying and maintaining AWS/Azure cloud platforms and services
- Experience working with hybrid cloud architectures
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and methodologies (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform, Ansible)
- Knowledge of core DevSecOps practices and tools
- Experience with automation and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of database design and management
- Strong cybersecurity fundamentals
- Familiarity with CMS, LMS and CRM development
- Familiarity with AI infrastructure deployment
- The ability to legally work in Australia.

- Open to Full-time/Part-time as well as Permanent/Freelance
- Naarm (Melbourne) based role
- Hybrid, but the expectation is the majority of your week is in-studio
