Overview

The Firm: a premium boutique firm based in the CBD operating since 1998. The firm’s primary practice is Property, serving a range of clients from high net worth individuals to major corporate-franchisees. The firm emphasizes a pro-client approach, is detail-oriented, agile, and commercially aware. The team is headed by an ex-top tier lawyer who mentors and develops lawyers in a warm, calm environment. The team consists of four lawyers who are supportive and collegiate.

The Role

A mid-level lawyer seeking career progression in a boutique environment is required to substitute a lawyer poached by a larger firm. The ideal applicant is seeking steady, long-term employment in a solid boutique firm. Opportunities to mentor junior lawyers will arise over time, with potential partnership opportunities in the future subject to performance and business development abilities.

The role will be primarily Property work, with an approximate 70/30 split between Retail Leasing and Commercial Property transactions. Leasing work involves major commercial retail centers; Commercial Property transactions are of substantial value. There will also be diversity in Commercial transactions involving acquisitions and disposals of businesses. As a boutique firm, all lawyers are hands-on with their caseload and well-rounded, with skills in transactional work as well as dispute resolution and litigation.

Essential Requirements

- 3 - 5 years PAE
- Intimate understanding of fundamental Property processes, concepts and principles
- Detail-oriented and excellent time-management skills
