About the Position:
The Chef position at Fresh Point Co.’s Nightcliff branch is a full-time role focused on delivering high-quality, creative dishes in a fast-paced, customer-centric café environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the café’s reputation for culinary excellence by preparing innovative and delicious menu items.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including gourmet breakfasts, fresh pastas, and specialty pancakes, ensuring consistency and quality.
Collaborate with the team to develop and refine menu offerings, incorporating local ingredients.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in compliance with food safety standards.
Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Deliver exceptional dishes that align with Fresh Point Co.’s commitment to culinary excellence.
Requirements:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Required Qualifications: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a relevant field.
Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen environment.
Strong culinary skills with expertise in preparing diverse, high-quality dishes.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
