The Opportunity
We/'re on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Consultant to join our Perth office Leveraging your technical expertise and proven skills, you/'ll support our clients by offering sound statutory and strategic urban planning advice and insights. As a senior strategic planner, you will lead and contribute to the delivery of high-impact land use planning and policy projects, primarily for public sector clients.
You will
- Lead or contribute to the preparation of strategic land use planning projects, including growth strategies, precinct plans, employment and housing studies and supporting technical inputs.
- Provide high-quality planning analysis and advice informed by current government policies, regional and local priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Collaborate with internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including specialists in the fields of economics, urban design, transport, infrastructure advisory, community planning and stakeholder engagement.
- Prepare and review reports, presentations and public-facing documents that communicate complex planning concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality.
- Coach and develop individuals with the team, as appropriate.
About You
- Holds tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Ideally minimum 3 years/' experience within an Urban Planning role.
- Strong knowledge of strategic planning, and related legislation, ideally gained in a consultancy or local/State government environment.
- Proficient appreciation and understanding of strategic policies, processes and influences.
- Proficient appreciation and understanding of impacts and issues affecting land use and development.
