About the Role

We are currently seeking an Automotive Electrical Trade Assistant to join our client's team based in Dandenong. This role offers a great opportunity to work alongside qualified Auto Electricians, assisting with the installation, wiring, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems across a variety of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist qualified Auto Electricians with the installation and maintenance of automotive electrical systems

- Carry out wiring harness assembly, lighting installation, and component testing

- Support with fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs

- Perform general mechanical and electrical fit‑out tasks on vehicles

- Operate hand, power, and diagnostic tools safely and efficiently

- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment

- Complete basic administration and record keeping for daily tasks and parts used

About You

- Previous experience as an Automotive Electrical or Electrical Trade Assistant (preferred)

- Good understanding of vehicle electrical systems and components

- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

- Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Current driver's licence and reliable transport
