Position/Service Context

This position is part of the Armadale Health Service (AHS) within East Metropolitan Health Service. The Armadale Health Service is a general hospital focused on providing a range of high-quality health care services in the community and is part of the Armadale Kalamunda Group. The Armadale Health Service Maternity Service provides holistic, women-focused, multi-disciplinary care to about 2,500 women per year. East Metropolitan Health Service provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for ages 16 years and above, through community mental health services and hospitals.

Position Profile: Leads the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist obstetrics and gynaecology services to patients. Promotes patient safety and quality of care and, where relevant, provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners and other health workers. In collaboration with the Head of Department (HoD) Obstetrics and Gynaecology and other Consultants, works to achieve national, state and East Metropolitan Health Service performance standards and targets. Works with the scope of clinical practice as defined and recommended by the Area Medical Credentialing Committee.

Area Profile: East Metropolitan Health Service provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for ages 16 years and above, through community mental health services and hospitals.

Eligibility to Apply: To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
