The Opportunity

We are looking for a Food Services Assistant - Melrose Hostel to join our team at Melrose Hostel in our Sydney Region.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

- Preparation of evening meals as resident’s requests
- Planning for resident’s special requests and dietary needs, as well as likes and dislikes
- Participating and maintaining the HACCP program continually striving for improvement
- Maintain clean and tidy kitchen, include clean-up of spills and hazard prevention
- Report and defects or maintains requirements
- Keep up to date with latest food safety, handling and equipment standards
- Follow required hygiene guidelines as per HACCP
- Will to complete Food Safety Training as per food safety standards, will to complete Senior First Aid Certificate
- Work as team member as per UPA values and have good communication skills

- Ability to demonstrate empathy and respect and treat the residents with dignity
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy
