About the Role

Baringa Private Hospital, located in stunning Coffs Harbour on the Mid North Coast, is seeking experienced Clinical Nurse Specialists in Theatre Anaesthetics to join our team. With flexibility to work full-time, part-time or negotiated hours, this role supports an excellent work-life balance.

As an advanced level Registered Nurse, you will be a skilled clinical and professional resource, demonstrating expert knowledge and critical thinking across perioperative care. You will actively contribute to the development of our nursing team through mentoring, education, and involvement in orientation and clinical programs.

Working in Our Theatre Department

Our Perioperative Service comprises five operating theatres capable of delivering a wide range of major and minor procedures including:

- Interventional and diagnostic cardiology

- Pacemakers and implantable devices

- Orthopaedics

- Endovascular and general surgery

You will play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care within our fast-paced operating environment.

About You

You are a proactive nursing professional who thrives in a collaborative, high-performing team. You bring strong communication skills, advanced clinical capability, and a passion for excellence in patient care. Flexibility to work ten-hour shifts Monday through Friday is essential.

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

- Minimum five years’ experience in Theatre Anaesthetics or related perioperative specialty.

- Demonstrated understanding of professional scope of practice.

- Proven ability to assess, plan and evaluate patient care.

- Strong commitment to patient experience and customer service.

- Working knowledge of relevant legislation governing nursing practice.

- Understanding of quality and continuous improvement principles.

- Experience mentoring and supporting clinical development of others.

- Post Graduate Perioperative Nursing Certificate.

Renumeration

On offer is an hourly rate ranging from $55.17 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances (NSW Clinical Nurse/Midwifery Specialist).

Requirements

- Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
