Join our team supporting a major four-year rolling stock upgrade program across the Sydney Trains Tangara fleet, based at Auburn and Flemington site locations.

We are seeking Electrical Maintenance Technicians to carry out electrical system maintenance and upgrades on passenger rolling stock, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with rail industry standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on a significant long-term rail project, ideal for tradespeople who take pride in delivering quality, hands‑on work.

Role Overview

- Undertake electrical maintenance, modification, and upgrade works on the Tangara fleet to meet operational and safety requirements.

- Work safely within rail depots and confined spaces, following all site and network safety procedures.

- Participate in manual handling and occasional heavy lifting tasks.

- Maintain a strong commitment to zero harm, contributing to a safe and compliant workplace.

- Operate in a drug‑ and alcohol‑free environment.

Key Requirements

- Certificate III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent trade qualification).

- Current Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card, or willingness to obtain (including CAT‑3 medical and drug & alcohol screening).

- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety, quality, and reliability.

- Previous experience in rail, rolling stock, or heavy industry is highly regarded but not essential.

- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently when required.

- Full Australian working rights.
