Diverse Education Teacher

Commencing Term 4, 2025

Up to FTE 0.8

Morphett Vale and/or Aldinga Campus

We are looking for an innovative educator with a passion for developing diverse learners using a variety of teaching and learning methodologies.

The successful applicant will:

- Be registered with the South Australian Teachers Registration Board;
- Have a commitment to the ethos of an independent Christian school;
- An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Inclusive Education or similar OR a Bachelor of Education and prior experience in working and leading in Diverse/Special Education settings;
- Have experience working in Diverse/Special Education in schools;
- Have a broad knowledge of a variety of learning difficulties & disabilities;
- Work collaboratively with primary and secondary classroom teachers and Diverse Education SSOs to support assessment for learning of their students with additional educational needs and identify specific learning and support needs;
- Work with external agencies to assess student;
- Plan, implement, model, monitor and evaluate support programs for primary and secondary students;
- Assist the Diverse Education Leaders in providing professional advice, support and mentoring to classroom teachers;
- Provide advice on appropriate specialist services to parents and teachers;
- Collaboratively write and review Individual Education Plans (IEP) for eligible students;
- Coordinate the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) at the Morphett Vale Campus with assistance from the Learning Support Coordinator.
