Waymark Hotels is seeking an experienced Assistant/Venue Manager to provide relief support and lead our growing venue teams across Regional Queensland. We are looking for someone willing to work across multiple venues for varied durations.

You will be responsible for providing strong leadership and management of all hotel/venue operations and employees. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

1. Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and company policies and procedures.
2. Analyzing and reporting on key business metrics to ensure continuous improvement of hotel operations.
3. Managing budgets and expenses, analyzing financial information, and monitoring sales and profits.
4. Networking within the community to foster loyalty and understand customer and community needs.
5. Developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to promote the hotel's services.
6. Handling maintenance issues, staffing shortages, equipment issues, renovations, etc.

The essential skills, behaviors, and qualifications include:

- Current Approved Manager Licence, RMLV, Gaming Nominee, RSA, and RSG.
- Strong leadership, training, motivational skills, and excellent communication abilities.
- High personal presentation and hygiene standards.
- Availability to work hospitality hours.
- Ability to manage conflicts, remain calm under pressure, and work unsupervised.
- Thorough understanding of P & L.
- Management experience in high-volume food, bar, function, gaming, and retail environments.
