This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026

The School
Located in Hammond Park on Irvine Parade, the college opened in 2020 to Year 7 students and graduates its foundation cohort this year. The college buildings include state of the art classrooms, a library, administration and extensive student services area. The college also features specialist facilities for performing and visual arts, science laboratories, food and textiles, design and technology workshops and a lifestyle centre including a gym, ovals and multipurpose courts. The cafeteria is the hub of the central precinct and provides indoor and outdoor seating, landscaped gardens and open spaces.
Role and Responsibilities
The successful applicant should have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to foster positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including students, staff and community members. They should have the skills to collaborate and create innovative learning opportunities for students and contribute positively to the college culture. The role aligns with Hammond Park Secondary College’s Instructional Framework and a Performance Growth and Coaching Framework based on coaching and continuous feedback. The successful applicant should be willing to grow and learn instructional approaches and be open to observations and feedback in a supportive culture of shared practice.
The college places wellbeing at the centre of its work and operates a Wellbeing Framework based on PERMAH (Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Achievement and Health). PERMAH informs policies and procedures and shapes the Homeroom Program and learning areas. Staff and student wellbeing are priorities.
