About the Role

Join BHP Carrapateena, a safe, reliable, globally competitive business supported by motivated people. At Carrapateena, we care that everyone goes home safe to do the things they love. Located 472 kilometres north-west of Adelaide, South Australia, Carrapateena is part of our Minerals Australia operations, within the Copper South Australia province. The mine is located on the traditional land of the Kokatha people. Carrapateena produces copper concentrate and is one of the largest mining projects in South Australia in the last decade.

Please note this position is based at Carrapateena, offered on a FIFO (from Adelaide) basis and operating on an 8/6 roster pattern arrangement.

The Operator Warehouse is committed to delivering a safe and efficient warehouse service. Your work will contribute to optimal warehouse operations, as well as seeking ways to continually improve, ensuring that we are well placed for future growth within our operations.

In this role you will:

- Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way

- Comply with BHP Policies, Procedures and Standards
- Participate in an environment that promotes teamwork, customer service and action orientation
- Safely and efficiently execute warehouse tasks as per Supply procedures, as well as execution of minor warehouse maintenance and binning maintenance
- Sustain high standards of work to maintain warehouse(s) and yard(s) to a global warehouse standard
- Ensure all MHE (forklifts, reach trucks) are operated professionally and safely
- Efficiently investigate and in a professional manner assist with resolution of customer queries
- Be flexible with the ability to work autonomously, or to lead by example as required by the operation
- Achieve and or exceed competencies as required under the department competency matrix
- Participate in all training provided to achieve the competencies required for the role

About You

- Experience working in a similar operational warehousing environment
- Demonstrated experience with safe manual handling operations
- Experience with accepting deliveries, unpacking, sorting and storage
- Familiar with control of materials and using RF scanners to receive goods
- High level of accuracy with attention to detail
- Proactive focus on customers and customer service, as well as meeting delivery requirements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Reach Fork Operations Licence/Experience (preferred but not essential)
