Site Reliability Engineer

Melbourne, Australia Zone IT Solutions Full time

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer across New Zealand. This is a permanent role for a global IT service provider.

Responsibilities:

- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure (GKE/ AWS), and direct experience with at least one of the major cloud providers and managing Kubernetes clusters
- Securing and Maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux based servers
- Maintaining systems using "Configuration as Code"
- Git and automation tools, like Ansible, Terraform, Packer or equivalents
- Experience working with hybrid or public cloud environments
- Exposure in rolling out technical information security requirements such as DevSecOps, ISO27001, CSA, or OWASP
- Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code
- Hands-on experience in designing metrics and alerting with observability tools
- Experience with container orchestration such as Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), AWS ECS, and Docker Compose
- Experience on leveraging Git-Based (Gitlab) source control including feature branching strategies
- Exposure in provisioning and supporting RDBMS, NoSQL, or Big Data
