The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Principal Structural Engineer to join our team in Melbourne. You will contribute to a variety of major infrastructure projects, as well as industrial and commercial developments, while providing technical guidance in a range of structural materials for our junior team members. With offices Australia-wide, there is plenty of opportunity to collaborate across our multi-disciplinary teams. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Become a technical focal point and provide guidance for the structural team in Melbourne
- Apply engineering fundamentals to solve intermediate to advanced engineering solutions
- Liaise with clients, design technicians, and other team members to deliver practical solutions
- Manage clients, prepare fee proposals, and tender documentation
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members
What you bring:
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in structural design
- Deep experience in structural engineering design and already obtained Engineers Australia Chartered Professional Engineer status or equivalent
- Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering or higher
- Strong analytical thinking skills and a problem-solving mentality
- Willingness to mentor and check technical documentation for junior members
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both with colleagues and clients
