Flour Bar is a premium artisan bakery, wine bar, and restaurant located in Moss Vale, NSW, seeking an experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team.

About Flour Bar:
We are a high-quality establishment specializing in artisan baking, fine pastries, and innovative desserts. Our bakery produces a wide range of premium breads, pastries, and desserts for our restaurant and retail customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the pastry section, ensuring consistent production of high-quality artisan breads, pastries, and desserts
- Develop and create innovative pastry and dessert menus that complement our restaurant and wine bar offerings
- Prepare a variety of artisan baked goods including sourdough breads, viennoiserie, tarts, cakes, and specialty desserts
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene
- Train and supervise junior pastry staff
- Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory for the pastry section
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and workplace health and safety standards
- Work collaboratively with the head chef and kitchen team

Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a qualified Pastry Chef or Pastrycook
- Proven expertise in artisan baking techniques including breads, pastries, and desserts
- Strong knowledge of various baking methods, ingredients, and equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, high-quality kitchen environment
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Creative flair and attention to detail
- Relevant trade qualifications (Certificate III or IV in Patisserie/Commercial Cookery or equivalent)

Working Hours:
Full-time position, 38-40 hours per week. Early morning starts required. May include some weekend work.
