You'll fault find, troubleshoot and improve controls solutions for automated material handling equipment (MHE), mentor team members, and drive innovations that impact customer deliveries daily.

Key job responsibilities
- Partner with wider RME team to provide a high level of equipment availability to internal customers.
- Coach and train technicians in the basics of control systems fault finding to foster an environment of continuous learning.
- Collaborate with the AU/EU Controls network to enhance the capability to monitor Material Handling Equipment (MHE) metrics.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide visualization and data to internal customers.
- Collaborate with IT, EU Controls Engineering and Operations Engineering to maintain system documentation and backup procedures.
- Collaborate with Global teams to support the installation and commission of new equipment.
- Support other sites in the AU network as required.
- Interpret both mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Improve strategies for code conforming to IEC 61131-3.
About the team
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keep our equipment performing at its best. We're a technically skilled team of of collaborative professionals guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network. Some of our people are leaders, who oversee the team as they work on exciting technology – some of which only exists at Amazon.Relevant experience with PLC controlled automation and issue diagnosis in a continuous process or production environment.
Experience supporting a wide range of different conveyors and sortation systems.
Experience in dealing with material handling, flow and capacity visualization and monitoring. Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon. If you meet the basic qualifications above, we’d love to hear from you.
A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, industrial electronics or another technical subject
Experience working within ISO 13849 and ISO 62061 frameworks
Experience working in a multi-site environment
Project management experience with multiple frameworks such as Agile and Waterfall
Experience of Six Sigma, data analysis or process improvement techniques
