Job Description

Head of IT:
West Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a unique business based in Sydney's Inner West who are looking for a Head of IT to lead their IT and tech function on the next phase of their journey. This is a lean team requiring a Head of IT who is happy to be hands on and involved with the day-to-day running of all things IT, while also being great with senior stakeholders and commercial leadership.
This role will primarily be based WORKING FROM HOME, with office travel required once every couple of weeks. You will have full flexibility around this and a travel allowance for any days coming into the office. You'll be part of a mature environment where you can work to your own diary - highly flexible and understanding work environment, catering for people with families and/or a life outside of work

About your role:

As Head of IT, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire IT function, from infrastructure and cybersecurity to software development and digital transformation. You will work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement technology strategies that drive efficiency, security, and business growth.

Your responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute the company's IT strategy in alignment with business goals.
2. Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, and systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
3. Lead and manage the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
4. Manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and ROI on technology investments.
5. Drive digital transformation initiatives and improve business processes through technology.
6. Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners.
7. Provide technical leadership and support to all departments within the organization.

About you:

1. Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, such as an IT Manager or Head of IT.
2. A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (desirable).
3. Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Oracle, and Azure Cloud.
4. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
5. Experience in managing IT projects, budgets, and teams.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
7. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
