Mechanic

The Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for performing scheduled servicing, long-term maintenance, and unscheduled repairs on fleet, including prime movers, tankers, light vehicles, and plant equipment. The role ensures all assets are maintained in a safe, reliable, and work‑ready condition.

What you will enjoy doing

- You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on company and customer equipment.

- Complete all service and breakdown documentation accurately and submit to supervisors.

- Respond promptly to breakdowns and mechanical failures.

- Further, you will participate in risk assessments and report incidents, near misses, and hazards.

- Support apprentices and collaborate with the workshop team.

- Also, you will maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas.

What makes you great

- You are a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent).

- Proven experience with trucks and heavy vehicle systems.

- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.

- Moreover you have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Commitment to safe work practices is required in this role.

We offer an hourly rate $40‑$55 per hour plus allowances based on vehicle type.
