About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Neonatal Services team as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife, where you will be responsible for:

- Deliver proficient, person-centred nursing and/or midwifery care, including case management and care planning.
- Provide clinical leadership within the team, supporting the patient journey and enhancing patient flow.
- Contribute to education by mentoring students and less experienced staff and fostering a learning culture.
- Participate in research, audits and quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Support the multi-disciplinary team to enhance patient flow across the Neonatal Service.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
- Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within the clinical setting.
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
