About the Role

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and talented Occupational Health Nurseto join the Copper South Australia Health, Safety, Security & Emergency Management (HS&SEM) team, based at Olympic Dam. The Occupational Health Nurse plays a critical role in supporting the Olympic Dam Operation in line with our HS&SEM Purpose – One Team, helping people to be safer and healthier.

The role represents a fantastic opportunity to work within a high calibre and professional team delivering excellence in occupational health. The current vacancy is a 12-month fixed term role and is offered on either Residential (5:2) or FIFO basis ex-Adelaide (5:3 / 4:2 roster).

About You

To be successful in the Occupational Health Nurse role you will have a genuine desire to help people achieve positive health and wellbeing outcomes; combined with a clear understanding of the role that the resources sector plays in health and wellbeing management of our most important asset – our people.

You will have a working knowledge of relevant Health related legislation and requirements, effective injury and illness treatment and management, and experience developing and delivering preventative and improvement health initiatives. It is desirable that you have accreditation in spirometry and audiometry. Proven experience as a tertiary qualified nursing professional (Registered Nurse) and AHPRA registration is essential.

Your previous experience will mean that you have the ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with our operations stakeholders and medical and allied health providers, with excellent communication skills. You will be committed to coaching, influencing, and encouraging a mentally healthy workforce.

You will be motivated by a multi-faceted environment and the opportunity to problem solve and drive positive change whilst being confident with technology and innovation.

Location

Olympic Dam is one of the world's most significant deposits of copper, gold, and uranium. Located 560 kilometers north of Adelaide, Olympic Dam is made up of underground and surface operations and operates a fully integrated processing facility from ore to metal. The local township of Roxby Downs is an active and progressive community offering a variety of modern, well-equipped housing, educational, health, sporting, leisure, shopping and cultural facilities.
