Vestas Wind are looking for an experienced IT Field Support to work with our collaborative team in our Melbourne office.


Responsibilities:

Provide support for our end users as well as daily maintenance of the IT infrastructure

Support building and infrastructure projects in need for hands on at specific sites

Handling of swap stocks for Pc, tablets, mobile phones and take care of any reuse possible

Meeting room, printers, patching

Create and maintain site specific documentation

Ensure that sites are setup and maintained according to Vestas Global standards

Closely communicate and collaborate with you colleagues in the rest of the IT organization to fulfill your role

Install network devices and conduct service on servers

Proactively detect and report any issues with Infrastructure at local sites to the appropriate team or project to ensure that the sites within your responsibility are maintained and kept up to Vestas standards

Experience with Windows clients and IOS mobile

Experience working in global standard corporate client infrastructure environment

Experience with network equipment, network patching cabled and wireless network

Understanding of what it requires to work within a standardized centralized infrastructure regarding configuration/programs and keep documentation maintained

Experience with ITIL and knowledge of how to work in a production environment

Document work in ticket system (Servicenow) and you have experience with doing site documentation


Qualifications:

Relevant degree well regarded but not essential

Completed computer science training or equivalent industrial experience.

Excellent understanding of client hardware and software

Basic understanding of network and server topology



Competencies

Microsoft Windows and Office suite experience.

Ability to setup and troubleshoot hardware and software

Good English skills – both written and spoken

Strong communication, people and team skills

Technical and analytical skills, especially concerning troubleshooting

Strong service and customer oriented thinking

Willing to learn and share knowledge

Striving for goals and achieving results
