My Dental client has a fantastic full time opportunity for an experienced Dental Receptionist and Assistant based in Wayville. The ideal candidate for this dual role will be responsible for the daily operations of the Reception and office area, ensuring customer service and administrative tasks are completed smoothly and efficiently as well as assisting the clinicians during consultations and treatments ensuring all hygiene standards are met.

Your Responsibilities:

- Open and close the clinic
- Manage the day-to-day operations at reception ensuring the office area is neat and tidy at all times
- Greet and welcome patients arriving for appointments
- Answer calls and enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
- Oversee patient relations and handle complaints in a calm manner
- Review supplies and provide orders to Clinicians
- Confirm appointments for the next day
- Schedule and book follow-up appointments over the phone and in person
- Collect payments at the time of the appointment
- Arrange patient referrals and ensure all details are correctly stored
- Arrange patient files, referrals and radiographs for the next day's appointments
- Prepare patients for non-surgical and surgical procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and set up instrument tray
- Assist with dental procedures
- Assist the clinicians in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary
- Record treatment information in patient records
- Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the clinicians

Ideally you will have:

- Working experience within a Dental Clinic
- Excellent customer service experience
- A Cert III in Dental Assisting (Cert is essential, lower than 3 is negotiable)
- Great initiative with a can-do attitude
- The ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment and not get squeamish when assisting in dental procedures
- Experience with a Dental/Medical database is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work full time, hours are from 7:15am to 5:00pm weekdays only
