Title: DevOps Engineer - OpenShift
Location: Sydney or Brisbane (either is fine)
Type: Contract (6-12 months + extension)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Applicants must be available to work from the office in Sydney or Brisbane 2-3 days a week)
Required Skills and Experience:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices and extensive experience with OpenShift V3, V4, ROSA, and ARO. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive technical solution support to the team to align on continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) of technology in applications.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift V3, V4, ROSA, and ARO.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of applications.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, security, and reliability of cloud-based applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, security, and reliability.
- Design and define the overall DevOps architecture/framework for project/module delivery as per client requirements.
- Decide on the DevOps tools and platforms that need to be deployed aligned to the customer's requirements.
- Manage and drive the DevOps pipeline that supports the application lifecycle across the DevOps toolchain - from planning, coding, building, testing, staging, to release, configuration, and monitoring.
- Integrate security into the entire DevOps lifecycle to ensure no cyber risk and data privacy is maintained.
- Troubleshoot various problems that arise in the implementation of DevOps tools across the project/module.
- Perform root cause analysis of major incidents/critical issues which may hamper project timeliness, quality, or cost.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, with a strong understanding of OpenShift V3, V4, ROSA, and ARO.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience in automation tools/technologies such as Groovy, Jenkins, YAML/Ansible.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
